So far, 2025 has been filled with plenty of exciting tech announcements, reveals, and product launches. In the past few weeks alone, we’ve seen the release of the mid-rangeGoogle Pixel 9asmartphone, as well as the full reveal of theNintendo Switch 2hybrid gaming console.

Spring has only just officially sprung, and the 2025 calendar year is still less than 30 percent complete. In other words, there’s an abundance of time for companies to launch new hardware products over the next several months.

The iPhone 16 lineup

One such company, Apple, is rumored to be working on quite a few hardware refreshes for later this year. While the tech giant’s upcomingWWDC25 conferencewill be focusedprimarily on software, it’s a safe bet that new iPhone models and more will land sometime in the fall.

Here are 5 major Apple product releases in particular that I’m looking forward to in the coming months.

Apple’s iPhone 17 Air seeks to redefine the future of the phone

The iPhone 17 Air is shaping up to be the slim smartphone Apple wished it released a decade ago.

The revival of super-slim smartphones

The rumor mill has been swirling for months with regard to the so-called iPhone 17 Air.Thin is in again, apparently, and Apple is reportedly gearing up to launch a premium iPhone with a chassis as thin as 6mm or less. This would make forthe thinnest iPhone to date, besting the current record holder, the 6.9mm thin iPhone 6 from 2014.

Rumors indicate that the iPhone 17 Air will ship with a single rear camera unit – a concession likely made in the name of svelteness. Elsewhere, we expect the return of the dedicatedCamera Controlbutton, theAction Button, theDynamic Island, USB-C, and Face ID sensors.

Is Apple redesigning the AirTag 2? Here’s what the rumors say

The AirTag 2 is rumored to release in 2025 with interesting internal changes.

A long-awaited tracker device upgrade

Apple has long been rumored to be working on a successor to its popularAirTagtracker product, and it’s looking like 2025 might finally be the year we see an official refresh hit the market. Rumors suggest that a next-generationUltra Wideband(UWB) chip might be implemented, which would result in a superior tracking range across the board.

In an attempt to tamper-proof the product, Apple might also be redesigning the internals to make it moredifficult to remove or disable the built-in speaker– a welcome safety and anti-stalking preventative measure. Unfortunately, there’s no indication of any external design refresh, despite some excellent concept art from the likes of System Settings over on X.

Elsewhere, industry analystMing-Chi Kuo has previously reportedthat a next-generation AirTag might arrive with nativeVision Prosupport. It’s unclear exactly how spatial computing might be integrated into the AirTag experience, but bolstered cross-device ecosystem compatibility remains a distinct possibility here.

Apple TV finally supports lossless audio, but here’s why audiophiles are still disappointed

The Apple TV 4K is still missing a frustrating feature.

3Apple TV 4K

Inching ever closer towards game console territory

The existingApple TV 4Kset-top box is in need of an update, having been released all the way back in late 2022. Apple isrumored to be working onan iterative spec refresh for the device, which would likely involve replacing the outdated A15 Bionic processor with the far more contemporary A18 chipset.

This newer SoC would allow forApple IntelligenceAI features to be incorporated into the mix, though details on the exact implementation are unclear. I can’t imagine wanting togenerative emojion my TV screen, but perhaps Apple’supdated and more useful Siriwill have finally launched by the time this new Apple TV hits the market.

Aside from new AI tools, a more capable processing package might result in a doubling down on ‘console-quality’ gaming.

Aside from new AI tools, a more capable processing package might result in a doubling down on ‘console-quality’ gaming, which is something we’ve seen Appleemphasize on the iPhonein recent years. The company has tried to push the Apple TV as a gaming platform in the past (to limited success), but a new chipset could be a jumping-off point for arekindled effort on this front.

If we get the AirPods Pro 3 soon, I want them to have these 7 features

With Wi-Fi audio, customizable transparency mode, and a dust-resistance rating, the AirPods Pro 3 would be my mainstay.

4AirPods Pro 3

Health tracking without the wristwatch

Apple’s AirPods Pro line is rumored to be in for a major third-generation refresh later this year, and health features might be a focal point of the release. In particular, theAirPods Pro 3might ship with heart rate and temperature sensors, which would position the product as a wellness device in addition to its existing audio-based use cases.

We’ve also heard chatter of atouchscreen-enabled charging casefor the AirPods Pro in recent years, but this is a bit more of a pie-in-the-sky rumor. Theoretically, a small OLED display panel could serve as a charging progress indicator, a Bluetooth pairing interface, and possibly even a surface for music playback controls. I’d personally love to see this concept become a reality, but I’m not convinced that it’s in the cards anytime soon.

iPhone 17 Pro tipped for a major RAM upgrade - here’s what it means

Based on a new report, it’s becoming all the more likely the iPhone 17 Pro will have more RAM to enhance its AI capabilities.

5iPhone 17 Pro / Pro Max

A polarizing design choice in the making

An abundance of iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max renders and concept pieces have been circulating the internet in recent months. While nothing can be said for certain, it appears increasingly likely that Apple’s next flagship smartphoneswill feature a redesignin the form of a new rear camera design. The early consensus is that the company will be adopting a GooglePixel-esque camera bar aesthetic, albeit one that extends rather far down the rear panel.

Other rumors point towards a hybrid glass and metal chassis design, a new A19 Pro processor, 12GB of RAM,8K video recording, a newdual video recording mode, an in-house Apple radio chip à la theiPhone 16e’sC1 modem chip, anda thicker bodyto accommodate both improved thermal performance and a larger battery cell.
