Between the original Ace Attorney Trilogy and the release of Great Ace Attorney after many years of waiting for it fans have been eating well when it comes to one of the best detective court dramas around. All that was really missing was the secondary trilogy that was the first original title on DS featuring the well-loved Apollo Justice. For a long while now three Ace Attorney titles have been locked on 3DS and mobile ports including Apollo Justice, Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice. Starting next year that will be no more with Capcom’s massive reveal that all three are coming together in one giant collection known as Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy! Although Apollo himself isn’t necessarily the most important protagonist in all three titles many of the stories do revolve around him among many others like Trucy Wright and Athena Cykes who all make their debut in this trilogy of titles. Experience their adventures like never before with brand new HD visuals that will go between the charmingly crisp 2D artwork of Apollo Justice to the transition to 3D with Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice that would launch the series into what it is today.
A nice addition to this trilogy is that it can be played in seven languages including Japanese, English, French, German, Korean with both Traditional and Simplified Chinese. Of all the titles in the collection the one that will make it most interesting is Dual Destinies as this is the only title in the series that was rated M upon its initial release due to graphic violence. As of right now the rating for the title is still pending but we’ll be curious to find out whether Dual Destinies causes the entire trilogy to be given an M rating or not! For those who are hoping it’s on their platform of choice there’s likely no need to worry as it’s planning to launch on Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Windows and Steam to create a fantastic easy lineup and easy access at a moment’s notice. The last thing fans are hoping to hear about is whether or not this title will see a physical release. The original Trilogy only saw physical in Japan but The Great Ace Attorney got one in English as well which was great after the entire 3DS era of titles also neglected to see any physical English launches outside of the crossover title with Professor Layton. Hopefully we’ll manage to learn even more about that later, but for now it’s a delightful time to be an Ace Attorney fan with now easy access to the famed second trilogy of the beloved courtroom drama!
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is planning to launch in early 2024. Check out the debut trailer for these brand new remastered ports below:
