In commemoration of the fifth movie finally making its way to theaters,Screamcosmetics are soon heading to the popular murder-mystery video game. Celebrating the inclusion are several members of the cast who played the game, most likely getting reminders of their experience in filming the newestScreamstory.
It’s really a no-brainer to have some cross-promotion betweenAmong UsandScream. From the start,Screamhas always been about the characters working to uncover the identity of a masked killer taking them all out one by one. That’s also the name of the game inAmong Us, as the killer player attempts to fool the others into thinking they’re safe just to take them out. The simple concept struck huge with players makingAmong Usone of the more popular modern games.

This isn’t the only gaming experience that’s been put together to help promoteScream. Online, fans can also play aScreamtrivia game that lets them explore Stu Macher’s house. Players go through each room of the house trying to avoid becoming Ghostface’s next victim, answering trivia questions to proceed or exploring the home while avoiding the killer. The New Scream Introduces a New Mystery for Horror Fans to Solve
Surviving four massacres all carried out by different killers didn’t mean Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) was out of the woods. The killing begin again in the newScream, as Ghostface takes aim at a new group of youths in Woodsboro. Their only hope for survival might be to learn some of the rules fromthe legacy characters, with David Arquette and Courteney Campbell also returning as Dewey and Gale, respectively. But as the final trailer suggests, some of the rules may have changed since the last massacre.
The official synopsis reads: “Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream alongside Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar.”
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett directed Scream using a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. It is the firts movie in the series not to be directed by horror legend Wes Craven. The goal from the filmmakers had been to honor Craven while simultaneously rebooting the Scream story for a new generation. The early reviews are mostly positive, suggesting that they might accomplish that goal.
