Battlefall: State of Conflict Early Access
Real-time strategy (RTS) fans have a promising new title now available in Steam Early Access: Battlefall: State of Conflict has launched with a limited-time 20% discount.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world after a global crisis, humanity fights against the forces of chaos using remnants of military technology. Their greatest threat is the Scrappers, described by Kyoto Video Game Concern as being “driven by radiation-induced madness.” This playable anarchist faction compensates for its lack of firepower with scavenged resources, suicidal tactics, and sheer numbers.

What Does Early Access Offer?
The game currently features 17 skirmish maps that can be played solo or online, with friends or against them—supporting up to two players and six AI-controlled bots. Battle environments include Arctic landscapes, desert locations, and a glimpse of urban combat.
There are also nine campaign missions—featuring optional co-op—including a fully voiced first chapter. Text languages include Spanish. Two factions are playable: EFNET, the forces working to rebuild humanity, and the Scrappers, the mutated anarchists.

The final version will refine existing content, complete the planned campaign maps and skirmishes, integrate online combat, and introduce a third faction (SEL), synthetic lifeforms. Additional improvements include better units, weapons, and more. Upon full release, the game will feature three unique story-driven campaigns with different objectives and conflicts.
The development team is also prioritizing Steam Workshop integration, encouraging community involvement and content sharing.

Early Impressions
Initial reactions have been positive, with many comparing Battlefall: State of Conflict to Command & Conquer classics like Red Alert and Tiberian Sun—which seem to be key inspirations for the game. The variety of game modes and overall design have been well received, though one common criticism is the current lack of graphical options, an issue expected to be addressed in future updates.
