CD Projekt REDhas spoken about the port ofCyberpunk 2077for theNintendo Switch 2, revealing an exclusive feature not found in any other version of the RPG.
Cyberpunk 2077 Will Feature an Exclusive Function on Switch 2
If you’re planning to get theNintendo Switch2 at launch, you’ll be glad to know that one of the greatest role-playing games of all time will be available on day one for the hybrid console. And what’s more, it will be one of the few third-party titles to come fully on a physical cartridge.
Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Editionwill debut theSwitch 2’snew 64 GB cartridges with an edition that lives up to the hype. It will include both the base game and thePhantom LibertyDLC.
Additionally, Nintendo and NVIDIA have confirmed thatCyberpunk 2077will be the first game on the hybrid console to support DLSS.CD Projektclarified that the footage shown so far comes from a version still in development.
The game is set to launch on Switch 2 on June 08, 2025, at a price of $69.99, both physically and digitally via the eShop.

The sci-fi RPG is preparing a spectacular debut on Nintendo Switch 2. While it doesn’t quite match the quality seen onPC, PS5, or Xbox Series X, the visuals shown so far clearly surpass what’s currently achievable on the Steam Deck, for instance.
This improvement will be noticeable from the first steps taken in Night City, and especially when driving through the futuristic city’s highways.
Perhaps the most notable detail is the large number of NPCs populating the streets—nothing like the limited versions seen on PS4 and Xbox One—which enhances exploration and immersion in this sci-fi world.
Exclusive Motion Controls on Switch 2
From a gameplay standpoint,Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Editionsupports Switch 2’s mouse mode as well as gyroscopic controls, meaning you’ll be able to play in a unique way using the Joy-Con 2.
CD Projekt also confirms that melee weapons—like katanas, swords, or mantis blades—can be exclusively controlled using motion sensor input onSwitch 2.
For those who’ve already experiencedCyberpunk 2077onPlayStation, Xbox, or PC, this exclusive feature may be reason enough to revisit the RPG on Nintendo’s new console. According to Digital Foundry, the port still needs a bit more development time, but what we’ve seen so far looks very promising.
