Announced on the official Darksiders' Twitter, two new physical editions have been revealed for upcoming Darksider Genesis, the Collector’s Edition and Nephilim Edition.

Darksiders Genesis Collector’s and Nephilim Editions Announced

There have been two editions announced for Darksider Genesis fans which include lots of collectibles including one edition which comes with a full board game.

Darksider Genesis - Nephilim Edition

The Nephilim Edition will include the base game, an art book, a steelbook case, soundtrack, stickers, a 22.5 by 9 inch statue featuring the horseman Strife, as well as a board game all in a premium box. There will only be 5000 units sold worldwide and will set you back $379.99. The board game is called Darksiders: The Forbidden Land, but currently there are no further details of how to play, but from the looks of the short video released on Twitter it includes hexagon board pieces, cards, dice and Darksiders figures.

Darksiders Genesis - Collector’s Edition

There is also a Collector’s Edition which is cheaper than the Nephilim Edition costing $109.99. This edition will include all the same items as the Nephilim Edition minus the board game. This means the board game is valued at around $260, as the Collector’s Edition is only missing the board game:

Darksiders Genesis will be coming in the form of a top-down action-RPG which is quite different from others in the series and developed by Airship Syndicate. It will pit players against enemies in a dungeon-crawler, you’ll kill monsters and gain loot.

As you hack’n’slash your way through, you’ll be playing as a new Horseman of the Apocalypse called Strife. According to THQ Nordic he has been called “upon to save humankind from certain destruction at the hands of Lucifer“. There will be plenty of intense combat, places to explore, puzzles to solve and epic bosses to battle. This title will take anywhere between 10 to 15 hours to complete, dependent on playstyle.

Darksiders Genesiswill be launching on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Stadia releasing this year 2019. Both editions are available to pre-order on the THQ Nordic website.
