Zenless Zone Zerois the latest title from miHoYo to take the gacha community by storm. It had over 50 million downloads in its opening week thanks to its availability on multiple platforms at launch. The PC version runs great despite a few technical hiccups here and there. However, does Zenless Zone Zero have mod support? Here is everything you need to know.

Does Zenless Zone Zero Have Mod Support?

Zenless Zone Zero does not have official mod supportand any attempts leading to modding the game can lead to potential bans. It is against miHoYo’s terms of service, which is also the case for their previous releases like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail.

However, that hasn’t stopped modders from already working on ways to modify the game files, largely for character appearance changes. They were using 3dmitogo, the same tool used for Genshin Impact to modify game models. This worked for a few days, but miHoYo has now updated Zenless Zone Zero to restrict access for anyone using this.

Zenless Zone Zero

We recommend that you don’t mod the game because there’s a real chance of losing access to your account in case any “illegal” activity is flagged with their anti-cheat implementation. Players have been banned in Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail for using cheats and character modifications in the past.

MiHoYo might allow mods in the future, but given the online nature of their releases, it’s highly unlikely, especially considering none of their previous games have mod support yet. If there’s a feature you would like in their releases, we recommend directly providing the developers with feedback.

When he isn’t spending an unhealthy amount of time in Slay the Spire, he’s probably trying out yet another retro-shooter or playing Dark Souls for the 50th time.
