WhileElden Ring Nightreignisn’t without its criticisms, if there’s one thing FromSoftware is doing right is ensuring this RPG remains relevant after its release. While most players should be able to complete the game within a week, or even a week if you grinded through, the Japanese developer has been hard at work not only updating the experience but also adding to it, as well.

The recent additions come in the form ofEverdark Sovereigns, not only harder versions of existing Nightlords, but fairly reworked versions of them.

Obtaining Sovereign Sigils

With the recent update, we’ve received a brand-new system involving Sovereign Sigils, a new currency that can be earned and exchanged at a vendor. to actually obtain these Sovereign Sigils, players will need to embark on special, harder Nightlord expeditions.

These are cycled in and out of the game on a weekly basis, but can be spammed to rack up the Sigil points. The first time completion reward will be a hefty25 Sigils, but everything after that can be anywhere between5 and 10 Sigils.

Where to Find the Vendor

If you don’t know where the vendor is initially, we won’t hold it against you as Elden Ring Nightreign doesn’t exactly hold your hand or outright tell you about it. The new vendor can be found in the southern section of the map.

If you look at the map, you will see the Jar vendor on the western section of the Round Table Hold. Where you’ll want to go is on the outside of the western wall along the southmost section of the map. Here, you will find what looks like the top of a table with a symbol on it, alongside a menu on the front and a little bowl to collect your Sovereign Sigils. It’s a pretty easy way for FromSoftware to introduce a vendor without having to give it a personality or a voice.

What’s in the Shop?

The new shop, simply called the Collector Signboard, has a couple of different options:

This is a pretty typical vendor where you can exchange the Sovereign Sigils for familiar items such as Urns/Vessels that rework a character’s relic loadout, Relics themselves which have some strong class-specific modifiers, and the various outfits you’re normally able to purchase from the garb mirror, but if you don’t have enough currency you can use 5-20 of the Sigils.

Witch’s Brooch

This is tied to theGuardian Remembrance questlineand will convert the Witch’s Brooch to the Cracked Witch’s Brooch, or vice versa depending on which you own. The only reason you’d ever pick this is if you want to read the differences in item description, because these are the exact same item otherwise, it just coststhree sigilsto change.

Conjure a shift in the earth

For a single Sigil, this will modify the next match you queue into. This will essentially allow you to pick and choose which map you want, be it the Crater, Mountaintop, Rotted Woods or Noklateo, the Shrouded City. This is especially good when going on an Everdark expedition because certain added effects, such as additional damage on Dragons (the Mountaintops), can be beneficial for fights like Deep Jaw and Fissure in the Fog.

Alter Great Site of Grace

Finally, this is for players who have completed the game and want to restore the Round Table Hold to its original state before fighting Nightlord Heolstor. It only costs 1 Sigil, but it has a pretty minimal effect overall.
