5Standard Armor
The Basics
There are a total of six armor sets you can wear. These can be customized withenchantments, armor trims and dye for leather-based armor. Out of all the armor, only five can easily be obtained by the player through crafting/upgrades: leather, iron, gold, diamond and netherite. Each one has a set of matching tools.
Leather can be gained from killing mobs such as cows and horses. Iron, gold and diamonds are most commonly gained from mining in the overworld. Finally, netherite is obtained through mining scraps in the nether and combining it with gold ingots. All the armor generally gets better as your materials do, minus gold, which is flimsy.
Netherite armor is gained by upgrading diamond armor with netherite scraps in a smithing table.

4Chainmail Armor
Chainmail is a difficult set of armor to obtain as it can not be crafted or upgraded like the rest of your armor. Instead, chainmail is obtained throughtrading with an armorer villageror dropped from mobs that spawn wearing it.
As a general rule, it’s better than leather armor but not as good as iron armor. It stands out with its unique texture, making it an interesting piece of fashion. You can also, however, display it on an armor stand as part of a complete armor collection to flex on friends. Its best matching tool set is stone, which can easily be crafted.
