The first entry in the Fuga series launched back in 2021, where it saw a positive reception from reviewers and ended up gaining quite the cult following. While the sales were unfortunately not as abundant as the popularity, developers CC2 have long been passionate about their Little Tail Bronx series, which Fuga is apart of, and continued along with the full intention of turning Fuga into a trilogy. Two years later we saw the release of Fuga 2 and we recently we’ve officially been given the release date for the third and final entry in the Fuga series.

Review: Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 manages to feel much the same while adding new abilities and changes that help combat and challenge flow.

Two years later we saw the release of Fuga 2, and just today we were officially given the release date for the third and final entry in the Fuga series.

The first entry of Fuga follows a group of young children tossed into a war after their families are taken away with the goal of trying to rescue them. Although they may seem weak and vulnerable as simply children, they discover a seemingly sentient tank in which they’re able to control and miraculously push back the opposing military force. These titles offer some of the most surprisingly unique and wonderful tactical combat ever crafted, and with that prestige comes sheer excitement for what the third title is bringing to the table.

The Fuga series is a one born from absolute passion from CC2

For a long time now, developers CC2 have wanted to give their Fuga series a physical release. Now, exclusively for Japan, that’s finally becoming a reality. Along with the release date, we got the announcement of physicals for all three titles in addition to a collector’s edition for the trilogy exclusively for Nintendo Switch. The collector’s edition comes with all three physicals of the Fuga series in addition to an art book, three novels, soundtrack and a figurine of the Taranis tank seen in the first game. For more information on these and how to purchase them for those interested, be sure to check out the official site righthere. We can confirm that US shipping is available, but other regions may vary. At this time it’s also unclear if these Japanese physical releases will have multiple language support, but we believe it’s likely due to launching the same day worldwide.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel is launching for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Steam and PC on May 29. Those interested in the series for the first time can even try out the demos available on all platforms for the first two titles. Check out the teaser trailer for the upcoming third entry below:
