Mamoa added to Wan’s comment,“Manta finds this trident and takes on the power.”DC co-head Peter Safran also commented on the DC villain, saying,“He’s more powerful than ever, he has a whole new Manta suit, whole new Manta look.”

ForYahya Abdul-Mateen II,Aquaman 2is an exciting project that explores the DC villain with great detail. The Aquaman nemesis will certainly give a hard time to Arthur Curry. Reflecting on his character, Mateen also commented on the video released on the official Warner Brothers YouTube channel.

“Black Manta is not just driven by hate, he’s driven by love. His father was killed by Aquaman who had an opportunity to show mercy but didn’t. This need for vengeance haunts him night and day,”Mateen said.

The actor added that“he’s possessed by the spirit of evil. James [Wan] elevated the game in terms of the scales. Fans will get to seeAquaman and the Lost Kingdomin theaters on 28 July 2025.
