The world ofAvowedand the Living Lands is a hard place to get by. Sometimes you need to do unsavory things to get by, and in some cases, try to excel in life by taking risky ventures. For Daiko, it’s selling illicit wares, but in order to do that, he needs actual products.
He employs the aid of the Envoy to pick up a delivery of a suspicious item and bring it back to him. What’s in the box and what it does is up to the player to explore.

Avowed: Elder Offerings Quest Guide
Sometimes old rituals and practices of the dead are more important than the living.
Accepting the Quest
Within the small settlement of Thirdborn, there are thieves, bandits and mercenaries, some of them trying to get you involved in their illicit activities. One such individual is Daiko, a shady but surprisingly upbeat merchant who wishes for the Envoy to do him a favor in favor of some coin.
Daiko is located in the southeastern most area of the Thirdborn map, just past the bounty turn-in vendor. He is standing in a shady corner and beckons to you to help him out. Upon talking to him, he will reveal that he ordered some goods, but he needs you to pick them up. A strange request considering the nature of this city, but you will accept his offer even without knowing what’s in the box.

Unfortunately, finding where this package is located isn’t as easy as looking at your map. Daiko informs you that the person who’s supposed to help deliver these goods. Well, he only communicates in cryptic arrows that lead to specific parts of Thirdborn.
Following the Arrows
As you might suspect, you will have to look out for the various arrows that are spread throughout the map, and to a certain degree, out in the wilderness (if you noticed them on your way to Thirdborn, this is what they’re used for).
Some will lead to dead ends, but one specific will lead to the back of a house where a message is written: “NW out of town, past the dy lakebed. Follow the arrows and find us under the X. Supplies are Limited.” A not-so-subtle piece of graffiti is painted on the side of the house, but it gives you a good idea where you need to go next.

Head out into Shatterscarp once more and teleport to the middle of the map in Deadfall Highlands. Here you will once again have to find some arrows pointing up towards a rather large flag with a giant X marked on it. It’s hard to miss.
Climb up some rocks until you eventually get to another graffiti sign, and at this point you know you’re in the right direction. Moving forward, the Envoy will encounter various spiderlings in a rather nasty nest. After disposing of them, continue forward until you reach the large red flag with the X marked on it. Here you will meet with a fellow that looks awfully like Daiko named Aiko.

As you might have put together, these two are brothers and Aiko was the one that was supplying Daiko with some illicit goods. Talk to Aiko as he’s writhing around in pain from a spider bite, but is reassured that it’s nothing.
After he gives you the delivery, you can either lie and suggest the first one is always a sample, or pay him 500 cp. Either way, he will die on the spot from his spider bite, and you’re left having to deliver the news to Daiko.

Destroy the red barrel near the destructible wall nearby to exit, and at this point you’re given the option to sample the wares. Unfortunately, even if you do, they do nothing to you as it would seem the experimental drugs have no effect.
Giving Daiko the Illicit Goods
The main option is to deliver the goods back to Daiko as promised. Doing so will cause him to get more information regarding his brother’s death, which he is surprisingly nonplussed for a mere few seconds. you may let him know that the drugs worked or lie and tell him they did magical things to you, provided you sampled them yourself, or you can tell him the truth and say they don’t work. Regardless, this will conclude the side quest.
Turning in the Illicit Goods to Tira Nui
The other alternative is to give the illicit goods to an authority in Thirdborn. This would beTira Nui Hajime, the bounty collector. Doing so, he seems to have little to no interest in things, and thanks you in the most sarcastic way possible. Fortunately, he does give you a trinket that’s worth the investment if you go down this route.
