Warhorse Studioshas announced thatKingdom Come Deliverance 2will now release a week earlier than planned. A new story trailer is also set to debut tomorrow.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Release Date Moved Up by a Week
Released in 2018,Kingdom Come Deliverancecarved out its place in the competitive Western RPG genre, selling eight million copies and proving that new IPs like Greedfall could shine. Unlike the fantasy themes of games likeAvowedorThe Elder Scrolls, the game focused on knightly combat and a medieval European setting, all from a first-person perspective.
This success has fueled excitement forKingdom Come Deliverance II,which is set to release in February 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The sequel promises multiple endings and will run at 4K and 30 FPS on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, though the Xbox Series S will not support higher resolutions.
Warhorse Studios has confirmed the game has gone gold, meaning development is complete. Originally slated for June 11, 2025, the release date has been moved up to June 13, 2025.
What Was The Reason For The Change?
Announced onTwitter/X,the earlier release date likely aims to avoid competition with other high-profile RPGs, such asAvowed(launching February 18). Late February will also see the release of major titles like Like aDragon: Pirate Yakuza in HawaiiandMonster Hunter Wilds, making the decision to shift the release date a smart one.

The studio has also confirmed that updates on the game will roll out throughout December and January 2025. Tomorrow, December 5, a new story trailer will be unveiled, and the game’s official PC requirements and console specifications will be revealed soon.
In addition to its standard physical and digital editions,Kingdom Come Deliverance II will also feature an impressive collector’s edition.The game launches on July 13, 2025, onPlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
