How to solve the Mausoleum puzzle inBaldur’s Gate 3
After entering the Mausoleum inBG3and discoveringthe three Thorm paintings in the back, you might have been blinded with black fog if you input the wrong puzzle solution. Thankfully, I have the answer for you.
To help you solve the puzzle on your own, the hint tothe answer is hidden in the Stained Booksitting on a table on the east side of the room. Go over there and read what the Stained Book says.
The Stained Book instructs that if you want to discover what’s beyond the Mausoleum, you need tofollow General Thorm “deed by deed. ‘From splendour, to tragedy, to infamy.'”The big hint there issplendour, tragedy, infamy. That’s the order in which you need to press the buttons underneath the Thorm paintings.
The answer to the Mausoleum puzzle is this:Moonrise Towers, Grief, General. Press the buttons underneath each painting in that order and you’ll be able to continue forward into the Mausoleum.Beware of the numerous trapsthat litter the group here. The traps only do about two damage, so they’re not a big deal, but still.
With the Mausoleum doors open, you’re free to continue forward. I didn’t find anything useful or valuable in the first Mausoleum rooms, so you’re free to continue forward without missing anything.
Now thatyou’ve solved the Mausoleum puzzleinBG3, prepare for many more puzzles to come. Make sure you knowthis clever trick to opening chestsbefore you move forward.
