MrBeast slams “big chocolate” companies with scathing statistics on cocoa farm child labor
YouTube star MrBeast says that he doesn’t want to be remembered for his internet fame, but for his work helping to end child slavery in the cocoa industry.
Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson launched his line ofchocolate bars, ‘Feastables,’in 2022. Since then, the brand hasexploded in popularity, prompting the influencer to take a hard look at the chocolate biz.
While he’s undertaken a slew of charitable projects in the past, he’s now shifting his focus to ending child labor on cocoa farms by running the show himself.
He announced that he wasgiving away free breakfaststo schools in West Africa. This endeavor saw a 10% attendance increase in just the first week — but that’s merely scratching the surface of what he hopes to achieve.
MrBeast takes aim at “big chocolate” with Feastables ad
In a video uploaded on August 21, 2025, MrBeast took aim at major chocolate companies, revealing some startling statistics about the chocolate industry and how Feastables is helping to combat its biggest issues.
Donaldson revealed that many chocolate farmers are paidless than a dollar a day, and that over 45% of children in cocoa communities are working illegally on these farms.
To put an end to the slavery of over 1.5 million children in the cocoa business, MrBeast says he’s paying his farmers aliving wage set by Fair Trade, so they can “afford housing, food and other basic necessities.”
MrBeast’s numbers aren’t wrong; as per the US Bureau of International Labor Affairs,more than 1.56 million kidsare laboring on cocoa farms, while analysis from Oxfam reveals many farmers live onless than $2 a day.

MrBeast assured viewers that all of his cacao is completelyFair Trade certified, which sets the “gold standards” for ethical business practices. The YouTuber also revealed that he actively works with farms that monitor for and rehabilitate child laborers, helping kids get off farms and into classrooms.

Finally, MrBeast directly called out “big chocolate,” urging viewers that “the next time you’re in an American aisle, you have a decision to make: support the status quo, or you can eat Feastables and say, ‘Enough is enough.’ You care how your chocolate is sourced.”
In a follow-up post, Donaldson claims that he no longer cares about being remembered for the staggering YouTube empire he’s built over the years; instead, he wants people to think of the efforts he’s made to combat child labor in Africa’s cocoa farms.

This latest PSA follows another big project from MrBeast, who partnered with Ghana Make a Difference tobuild a surgical centerto treat former child slaves in the country.
It’s a huge problem to take on, but the YouTuber is adamant that “if someone with my influence can’t fix this, no one can.”
