It’s been a busy week at the Tokyo Game Show for Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo’s action RPGNioh. Because of that, we’re bringing everything that has been revealed together here for your reading and viewing pleasure.

Release Date and TGS Trailer

The week started off with some big news on the release front, with Nioh announcing a global release for PS4 on February 9th 2017. Hot on the heels of that news was a brand new trailer for TGS that gives us a look at a brand new snow coveredstage, several newenemies, a new spiderboss, newguardian spirits(snake, rabbit and tiger oh my!) and some nifty new movesets.

TGS Gameplay

Next up was the TGS floor where we got to check out some new never before seen content and play through another challenging boss. The snow stage is set at Honnouji, a famous temple in Kyoto where Oda Nobunaga died. Oda Nobunaga was a powerful daimyo who attempted to unify Japan during the late Sengoku period. The boss is called a yuki-onna which translates to snow woman, but this particular one is actually Nouhime, Nobunaga’s wife who also died at Honnouji. When we took our turn, we did the community proud and defeated the boss, earning us some nifty buttons.

Making-Of Videos
