NIS America has announced a new dark action RPG called Reynatis. Reynatis is directed by Takumi, and is an atmospheric urban fantasy. Set in a realistic recretion of Sibuya, Tokyo, players of Reynatis will witness the ultimate clash between magic and order. Reynatis is scheduled for release sometime in fall of this year for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Switch.
What is Reynatis?
Reynatis is a dark action RPG set in the streets of Shibuya, Tokyo which has been painstakingly recreated. This is a world where reality meets fantasy. Magic is alive and well in Shibuya, but the citizens fear it and the power it holds, forcing wizards to conceal their abilities or face the oppressive consequences. Marin is a wizard who does not want to adhere to such terms. He travels to Shibuya in order to seek freedom through strength. Here he meets Sari, an officer of MEA, an organization dedicated to keeping wizards under control. Marin must choose how to navigate through Shibuya. Will he conceal his abilities in an attempt to pass for a regular civilian to shop and take on quests or will he use his powers to reach new locations and battle against those who stand in his way? ● Freedom vs. Order: The wizard Marin and the officer Sari stand on opposing sides of a conflict that will shake the world to its core. Experience an enthralling story that tackles oppression, clashing ideals, and the price of freedom.
● City of Secrets: Navigate the streets of Shibuya and choose between remaining concealed to talk to civilians, shop, and accept quests or exposing your true self to harness your inhuman powers. Your journey will also take you into the alternate world of Another, a fantasy land teeming with ferocious monsters and secrets to uncover.
● Might & Magic: Freely swap between using evasive maneuvers in Suppressed mode and utilizing magic to deal explosive damage in Liberated mode. Each of the 6 different playable characters has their own unique abilities, from summoning to aerial attacks.
