In thisNo Rest for the Wickedguide, we will be taking a look at a build that you can put together once you’ve reached the end of the early game around level 10–11 and move into the mid-game, which you can put togetherfor level 11–20 and potentially beyond.
No Rest for the Wicked Boarskin Fanatic Build
The Boarskin Fanatic Buildwill let you fill the shoes of one of theBoarskinenemy types, utilizing their own weapons and armor against them and other enemies, unleashing your righteous fury and delivering your wrath unto your enemies.
Gears and Spells
For this build, we will be usingthe Boarskin Tuskas our primary weapon.
This is a one-handed axe weapon type that requires Faith points to equip, with the requirement being higher depending on the item level.

The axe will drop more commonly once you’ve reachedlevel 11 and above, around itemlevel 4, and will requireat least 19 points in Faithat that level and more at higher levels to equip.
It has a swift striking moveset consisting of upswings and is excellent for close-range combat, although compared to other axes, it may be lacking in range due to the nature of its attack pattern.

The Boarskin Tusk’sdefault rune isthe Throw Axe rune, and it is a very swift attacking rune that throws a single axe for thecost of 20 Focus points.
Even though theThrow Axeattack does not deal a lot of damage by itself, the lowFocus costand the fast nature of the attack make this a very excellent way of keeping up your pressure and preventing your opponent’s poise bar from resetting, allowing for more opportunities to stagger your enemy.

Forthe secondrune, we will be putting inthe Crushing Flurry runethat can be extracted fromthe Nail-laden Club.
This attack performs three consecutive strikes that deal massive damage while also damaging poise drastically. This rune attack will be the main source of damage we rely on when playing asthe Boarskin Fanatic.

Forthe third slot, we will be usingthe Evasive Pierce runefromtheTucked Falconrapierweapon.
This attackcosts 100 Focus pointsand performs a sweeping strike that will stagger most enemies, except the heaviest of them, while moving backward to create distance between you and your opponent—making it an excellent escape tool from sticky situations.

Lastly, we will be usingthe Damage Surgerune that is sold atEleanor’s, increasing your already formidable damage while this spell is active.
At this point in the game, it is advisable to have two main weapon slots, which will allow the possibility of having eight spells at your disposal instead of four from a single weapon slot.
Ideally, I would recommend having a weapon with theHeal Auraspell in the second slot, which will allow you to useFocus pointsto heal instead of consuming food.
No Rest for the Wicked Apprentice Build
In this guide, we will be taking a look at one of the early game builds that can help you when you’re starting out and will help you on your journey.
However,Plague Ichoris an extremely rare resource, and if you’ve spent it on other upgrades to help with inventory management or increasing your Hunger Limit, you can slot in the Heal Aura spell temporarily, and the build’s effectiveness will remain the same.
For the off-hand slot, we can leave it free to save some equip load or use the Azure Griffin shield if you want some added protection.
Armor Pieces
For the armor pieces, we will be usingBoarskinarmorpiecesto fully embody the build, but you can use any leather piece of your choice.
All of these pieces are made of leather and offer solid defense while staying within a manageable equip load.
Affixes and Enchantments
Forthe Boarskin Fanatic build, we will be looking to utilize enchantments that are ideally stamina-based affixes.
Affixes such as IncreasedStamina Regeneration and Decreased Stamina Costsare also helpful, as they will allow you to land more hits with your attacks before needing to rest to regain your Health.
Other affixes we will be looking for includeDecreased Item Weight and Increased Item Load, as these will allow us to equip heavier armor without going intothe Heavy Class.
We will be avoiding affixes that make resource management harder, especially with stamina, due to its already slow attack speed and long wind-ups.
Running out of stamina easily after dodging or a couple of swings will make it harder for you to land attacks using the weapons.
Also, negative affixes such asDecreased Item Load or Decreased Maximum Healthshould be avoided, as they will reduce your survivability, making mistimed dodges more punishing.
For this build, we will be usingtwo ring slots:
Alternative option:
If you only have one ring slot unlocked when assembling this build, prioritize the Agility Ring, as movement and stamina efficiency are core strengths of this setup.
The Boarskin Fanatic builddoes not rely on only one type of damage, and we will be utilizing both regular attacks and rune attacks. It is helpful to have more stamina, allowing you to perform more attacks quickly, gain focus points, and unleash the killing blow withthe Crushing Flurry attack.
The Chipped Emeraldworks very well with the build, as it increases yourmaximum stamina by 4–15%depending on the level of the gear you infuse it into. It can also be infused onto both weapons and armor.
The Chipped Spikecan be infused into both weapon and armor pieces, but for this build, we will be infusing this gem into the Boarskin Tusk to increase the physical damage dealt with regular attacks.
For enchanted gear—especially armor pieces that only have one gem slot—we want to prioritize putting inChipped Jadein as many slots as possible across the whole loadout, as the increase in stamina recovery helps with the build immensely.
Consumables
Although there are no specific consumables that are essential for this build, they will help you overcome challenges.
Stat Allocation
This build is one of many you can put together if you have emphasized putting your points into theFaithattribute, and it can easily be built into from an early gameFaith-based build.
As you reach aroundlevel 12, ideally your stat distribution will be something akin to this:
Allowing more frequent usage of rune attacks.
Once you’ve reached aroundlevel 20, it is ideal to have:
There is no need to invest inStrength, Dexterity, or Intelligenceattributes when using this build.
This will allow you to have high damage output while maintaining good survivability.
But, if you are confident in your dodging and parrying skills, you can invest some of the points from theHealth attribute into Faithfor increased damage, or intoStaminafor easier resource management.
You can also havefewer pointsin the Focus attribute, since we are not planning to use many rune spells with this build, and invest those points into other preferred stats.
Final Thoughts
The Boarskin Fanaticis an offensive, close-ranged,faith-based buildthat will have you destroying your enemies with powerful attacks and making quick work of them before they have a chance to retaliate.
While strong at close range, this build can struggle with ranged enemies—especially when fighting a group.
Getting hit with ranged attacks while you are fighting another enemy or trying to chase a ranged foe will really hurt due to the limited range of your attacks. While you are not slow or encumbered (as you will not be in the heavyweight class), enemies can be tricky to catch. However, you can interrupt their escape by throwing your axe, allowing you to catch them.
No Rest For The Wicked Gauntlets Build
This guide showcases a build for No Rest for the Wicked players hitting level 11, designed to carry you through the mid-game with strength and versatility.
Unless you are using a secondary weapon that has a ranged attack or a bow in your off-hand slot, this build does not have a strong ranged option and can struggle when facing some of the more agile ranged enemies that will simply run away from you.
Another thing to keep in mind when using this build is that you need to be more mindful of your stamina management. As your attacks cost more stamina, you will run out more quickly and can get caught in situations where you do not have enough stamina to roll out of harm’s way if you’re not paying attention.
While the build has enchantments and gems that aim to help with this issue, it does not alleviate it completely.
So, this wraps up my guide to putting togetherthe Boarskin Fanatic buildforNo Rest for the Wicked. I hope you find this guide helpful on your journey through the island of Sacra. If you have any more tips you’d like to add or share, or additional questions, please leave them in the comments below!!
