The reboot era continues to unfold, and no TV show is safe anymore. Avid TV watchers cringe when they hear that their favorite show might be coming back either with the same characters 20 years later or an entirely new cast. Some shows are able to pull off the reboot as they cater to the nostalgia group as well as trying to bring in a new audience. If done right, fans ofOne Tree Hillwould love to see a reboot hit their screens with all of their favorite characters returning.
Although fans may be ready for a reboot, the cast of the show may have several other opinions. The cast also hasn’t been too quiet about how they felt about their time in the fictional Tree Hill, North Carolina.One Tree Hillaired from 2003 to 2012 with an ensemble cast of actors and actresses that came and went on their nine-season run. Notable stars like Chad Michael Murray, James Lafferty, Hilarie Burton Morgan, Sophia Bush, and Bethany Joy Lenz were the core characters of the show and have their own opinions on whether the show should come back.
Jana Kramer
Jana Kramerplayed the actress turned singer Alex Dupre onOne Tree Hill. She became part of the main cast in Season 6 and became a recurring character towards the end of the show. Kramer appeared onWatch What Happens Livein 2020, where she said she didn’t believe that there would ever be a reboot. She has even had her old co-star Bethany Lenz on her podcast, where they talked about not wanting a reboot if their disgraced showrunner, Mark Schwahn, were to receive any compensation from it since he created a horrible set environment.

Shantel VanSanten
Shantel VanSantenplayed Quinn James, and just like Kramer, she did not have a long career on the show. She came on the show Season 6 through Season 9, and her character quickly became a new favorite after Peyton and Lucas left. VanSanten has been asked on her thoughts of a reboot fromBustle, and she told them if it was done a little differently, she would love to work with the cast again. She continues to say it would be fun now that they are all grown up and the era ofOne Tree Hillisn’t as mainstream as it was when she starred in the show.
Stephen Colletti
The character of Chase Adams was played byStephen Collettiand was first introduced in Season 4 ofOne Tree Hill. He continued to be a recurring character and later a main character. Colletti toldE! Newsthat if the opportunity presented itself for a reboot, he would consider it for sure. He believes that the show hasn’t been completely concluded quite yet so doing another season isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
Hilarie Burton Morgan
Hilarie Burtonplayed Peyton Sawyer for the first sixseasons ofOne Tree Hill. Since the end ofOne Tree Hill, Burton has been very vocal about how the show had an extremely toxic culture as well as the harassment she and her fellow female co-workers endured on set. While Burton has never explicitly said she would come back for a reboot, she has said she would love to have a do-over for how she handled certain behaviors on set and how stories of female sexualities were told. Bethany Joy Lenz
Bethany Joy Lenzwas fan favorite Haley James Scott, who was part of the original cast ofOne Tree Hillthat stayed on for all nine seasons. At first, Lenz had some hesitations towards rebooting the series due to the connection it had to Mark Schwahn, who has been accused of sexual harassment since the show’s ending. However, since starting a podcast with her other women co-stars, she has changed her mind about theidea of a reboot. Fans have been asking about it for years, and with theDrama Queenspodcast, they have been able to reclaim their bad experiences. Now, they all have been reminded why they loved doing the show when they were on it.

James Lafferty
James Laffertyalso stuck around with Lenz for nine seasons of the show as Nathan Scott. When asked about the idea of a reboot, he says he has seen the desire for it, but they haven’t been able to figure out the story yet. Lafferty told E! News that the idea of reboot culture is kind of crazy, but is grateful that audiences still have a want for theOne Tree Hillstory to continue. Right now, they are just focusing on whether they should map out a story and how they could play with it.
Sophia Bush
Sophia Bushplayed Brooke Davis in all nine seasons ofOne Tree Hill. Bush’s thoughts on the idea of a reboot are “never say never.” At the end of the day, it will be about who would want to join and how could we fit it into everyone’s schedules. Bush says that she has discussed this withotherOne Tree Hillcastmatesand loves the fans' passion for wanting the show to make a comeback. The cast has been approached about doing a reboot, but logistically it is always hard to figure out how to make it work.

He has asked been asked multiple times about doing a reboot of everyone’s favorite teen drama show, which he told J-14 that he couldn’t imagine not doing one. Murray says the show was so popular that it is bound to happen, and he even has a few ideas on some storylines for the reboot.
