Earlier this month, Well Go USA released a new poster for the highly-anticipatedhorror sequel,Phantasm: Ravager, which will bring the beloved franchise to a close when it hits theaters on October 7. Today we have new photos which give us a better look at The Tall Man, played byAngus Scrimm, along with Mike (A. Michael Baldwin) and Reggie (Reggie Banister). This film marks the final performance ofAngus Scrimm, who passed away in January at the age of 89. He had already long completed his work on the film, which wrapped principal photography back in March 2014.

Phantasm: Remasteredwill screen across the county as part of the inaugural Art House Theater Day on September 24, andPhantasm: Ravagerwill be released in select theaters on October 7th, day and date with its digital HD release. Fans across the country will have the ability to bring both films to their hometowns using Tugg, an innovative platform that empowers individuals and groups to host screenings in their local theaters and community venues. Well Go USA will also release never-before-seen restorations ofPhantasm III: Lord of the DeadandPhantasm IV: Oblivion.
David Hartman, best known for his work on animated TV shows likeTransformers: PrimeandRoughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles, takes over as director forPhantasm: Ravager, the first time in franchise history thatDon Coscarellidid not direct aPhantasmmovie. The filmmaker co-wrote the script withDon Coscarelli, with production taking place in secret throughout Southern California for two years. The secret production was unveiled in March 2014, when production wrapped and thefirst trailerdebuted.
FilmmakerJ.J. Abramshelped oversee the 4K restoration ofPhantasm: Remastered, revealing in an interview from last year that he was such a big fan ofPhantasmthat he namedGwendoline Christie’s character Captain Phasma in honor of the movie.
