In a recentforum postObsidian has included a console update, it shares thatPillars of Eternity II: Deadfirewill be coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch now in 2019 after it missed its release this year.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Now Set to Release on Consoles in 2019
The original port was handled by Paradox Arctic, but the sequelPillars of Eternity II: Deadfirewill this time be under Grip Digital who have in the past helped port Subnautica, McDroid, Q.U.B.E: Director’s Cut, and Tower of Guns. The port will come with all the previously released content and patch that has been released for the PC version with no further cost.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire was released by Obsidian Entertainment earlier this year in May 2018. Obsidian have also recently announced the upcoming sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds at The Game Awards this year. This is the first title to be announced after they were acquired by Microsoft.The Outer Worldswill be published by Private Division.

If you read our last update, we promised to have more information regarding Deadfire’s console release. As we stated, our partners at Grip Digital have been hard at work, and Deadfire will be releasing on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in 2019! We are pleased to also announce that the console edition will ship with all expansions, updates, and free DLC’s included at launch! We don’t have an exact date for you yet, but as soon as we have one, we will let you know!
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfireis currently available to play on PC, it will join console on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in 2019. No release window has so far been announced.
