Each character inElden Ring Nightreignhas their own story to tell. With each having a unique side story to experience, you may learn more about what has happened in their past and what brought them here to fight the Nightlords. These side quests will come in the form of something called a Remembrance. To begin this, you’ll go to the journal located in the southeast room in the Roundtable Hold.
Elden Ring Nightreign: How to Unlock The Revenant
This elusive summoner is available to join the cast of characters, but it takes some work.
First Remembrance Stage
To begin, you’ll need to speak with the characters in the Roundtable Hold.
When you first beginRevenant’s remembrance, you will be tasked with speaking toDuchessandGuardianin the Roundtable Hold. They will be marked on the map with an exclamation point, making them easy to locate. When you’ve spoken with the Duchesstwice, you’ll need to locate Guardian for the next stage in her quest. He’ll tell you that he has a task for you. Speak with him again, and he’ll tell you that you will need to take down a specific enemy and retrieve a fragment of their weapon so that he may understand them better.
It’s here that you may notice that there won’t be an objective marker placed on your map if you’ve gone in for an expedition right away. This is because you are tasked with fighting a specific boss. This boss is going to beGladius, Beast of the Night, and better known as theTricephalosexpedition. All you need to do is defeat this boss while you have the remembrance of theRevenantactive and ready. WhenTricephaloshas been completed, you will speak with Guardian once again to give him the weapon piece and conclude the remembrance.
Second Remembrance Stage
When recovering the prior memory fragment, you can start the second stage.
After the first piece of the remembrance has been completed, Revenant’s journal will start to fill in. InChapter 5of the journal, you can begin this next stage of her story and explore more of her past. Once you’ve started the remembrance, you’ll need to speak with the Duchess twice, with her trying to help with an ailment afflicting Revenant. You will be directed towards Recluse, who will attempt to help explore what ails Revenant. When directed to sit on the bench nearby, sit on the bench to start this next section of the remembrance.
After sitting on the bench, you’ll travel into a new realm within the Revenant’s mind. Looking eerily familiar to those familiar with FromSoftware’s past games, you’ll move forward through a mansion interior. In this small section of the mansion you get to traverse, head to the end of the hallway. At the end of the hallway, there is a small room. When entering the room, you will see a past version on the far side of it. Moving closer to her will activate the boss fight for the next stage of this entry.
This boss fight against theCorrosionis relatively easy and can be done in multiple ways. There are going to be several enemies that spawn at once, with many still spawning in as more fall. you’re able to take down as many as you can with your summons and claws, or bait them into killing one another. These enemies that spawn will start a sequence to blow up when you’ve gotten too close, with them charging forward to catch you in the explosion. Using this against them to force the Corrosion to take itself out is a great way to beat the boss quickly.
When the enemy is defeated, you can then approach the Revenant doll in the room, allowing you to start the next chapter of the Revenant’s story. Waking from the dream, you will speak with Recluse once more and conclude the chapter.
Final Remembrance Stage
In this final stage, you’ll confront Revenant’s past.
With this final portion of Revenant’s past being explored, you’ll speak with Recluse when the remembrance, sitting on the bench nearby, once more. Being transported to the mansion one final time, you’ll face the truth of her past, seeing the once-clean halls littered during a violent storm outside. Traveling to the final room, you will encounter theContaminantboss after you’ve entered.
This remembrance boss is fairly easy to dispose of. You begin the encounter atlevel 8 with 4 healing flasksto help in case of an emergency. While you do only have the tier 1 versions of her weapon and Seal, the fight is very manageable. Summon your family to fight alongside you as soon as possible when the engagement begins.Frederickis a very strong summon that can help with keeping the boss’s aggro away from you while the boss uses its lunge and sweeping attacks.
If you deal too much damage to the boss regularly, it will start to ignore them and come after you. If this happens, you’ll want to focus on dodging attacks while your summon gets the attention centered upon themselves once again. Regardless of whether you have its attention, you still want to be careful of the boss, as it will perform a spit attack that will cover a portion of the room in a miasma that will damage you when stepping over it. With clever use of your bigger summons, you can banish the boss quite easily, moving on to the ending of Revenant’s story.

Revenant’s story is a sad and tragic one that is very on-brand for FromSoftware titles, giving her a reason to take down those Nightlords that have shown their faces. The relics that you gain from these remembrances are all very good at making a decent backline support character, a fantastic support character to bring on expeditions. Fully healing allies while they are in danger or bringing them back from being downed with full health is on another level.
