Charge Attack
Gnoster will charge multiple times towards one player, with laser beams firing from the front.
Gnoster will unleash a number of attacks from the bottom, then use the laser rain attack at the end.

The main strategy of Gnoster is to separate both creatures. Ideally, you’ll want to have the scorpion-like ground monster target more melee-oriented classes like theGuardian, who can tank most of its attacks. For the moth, have the ranged characters take advantage of their distance. Recluse and Iron Eye are very good for this, although if you’re able to get casting items forRevenantorDuchess, their high Intelligence and Faith can do very well.
Regardless, right from the get-go, both of these bosses have very different play styles – as you can imagine. The moth will constantly shoot lasers towards a player while the land creature will be more of a physical threat, propelling itself towards you and unleashing ground-based attacks at a shockingly large range.

Gnoster will constantly be throwing out poisonous clouds in your direction, quickly racking up the build-up, and if you’re ill-prepared with no items to dispel it, then you could be in a bit of trouble. On top of the standard tracked lasers, the moth will also unleash a rain of lasers in a specific spot, while the other will occasionally go invincible. The latter lets you focus on the other, but don’t forget he’s there because he will come charging when this skill ends. Also, it’s a very annoying skill because it’s unpredictable when he uses it, making using Ultimates something to carefully time.
Phase 2 is a lot more chaotic in comparison to the first phase. The world will turn a lovely shade of yellow in the form of flowers and foliage, but this just enrages the two beasts even further. While you’ve been keeping the two separated up until this point, they’re now inseparable, with the moth riding the other. Even when the ground scorpion jumps at a player, the moth will follow and land back on its back like nothing had happened.
The main threat you need to watch out for is his stampede. This is when Gnoster targets a single player and starts making a mad rush for them. It will make a couple of runs at the player, with lasers constantly being fired at them, before stopping and unleashing a ground attack towards them, similar to phase 1, which sends them flying into the moth’s projectile vomit.
On top of that, Gnoster will constantly be summoning laser beams from the sky, as if the Hammer of Dawn is coming down. There are warning lights to can be seen, but it’s very easy to miss given that you’re likely dealing with the charging terror that is Gnoster. Definitely keep an eye out for the giant beams of light that follow with almost instant death.
