If there’s one thing I hate, it’sdirty electronics. I’m not afraid to admit I’m aclean freakabout my tech, and I like to keep all mydevices pristine. Dirty screens, in particular, drive me insane.

However, our devices getting dirty is simply an unavoidable part of life. Ourtouchscreen displaysattract fingerprints and skin oils like no tomorrow, while dust and pocket lint cling to them easily. And all it takes is an unexpected sneeze or cough to turn yourcomputer monitoror TV into a war zone.

That’s why, a couple of years ago, I went on a quest to find the best possible screen and device cleaning solution. I wanted something I could clean every single one of my devices with that wasn’t harmful, didn’t smell absolutely terrible, and left all of them sparkling clean. After a long search and much trial and error, I finally landed on the perfect cleaning solution combo.

Why I like Whoosh’s cleaning solution

Its Screen Shine is alcohol and ammonia free

The bundle I’m highlighting includes a 500ml spray bottle filled with its Screen Shine cleaning solution and a large microfiber cleaning cloth. What I like about Whoosh’s Screen Shine cleaning solution is that it’s nontoxic, odor-less and alcohol and ammonia free, which makes it safe to use on all my devices.

Using a microfiber cloth when cleaning your devices is essential because its fibers are gentle and won’t scratch them.

What I like about the included microfiber cloth is that it’s treated withPROTX2, a powerful textile treatment that prevents the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew on the fabric. This treatment enhances the cloth’s durability, allowing it to withstand more machine washes and last longer. Plus, using a microfiber cloth when cleaning your devices is essential because its fibers are gentle, won’t scratch them, and won’t leave any lint behind.

Another factor that influenced my decision to try Whoosh was that it’s Apple’s “cleaner of choice.” Apple uses Whoosh’s products in its stores worldwide to keep all its devices clean, and if it’s good enough for one of the largest tech companies in the world, it’s good enough for me.

How I clean my devices with Whoosh

Never have a dirty screen again

What I love about Whoosh is that it’s a two-in-one device cleaner. This means I can use it on the screens and bodies of all my devices, including my iPad, MacBook, iPhone, Kindle, Samsung TV, and OLED and LCD monitors.

Here’s the process I go through to clean all of my devices with Whoosh to have them looking brand new again:

Whoosh cleaning next to MacBook, Kindle and Samsung Galaxy.

  1. Wipe down your device with Whoosh’s microfiber cloth to remove any lingering dust.

  2. Next, spray the microfiber cloth once or twice with Whoosh’s Screen Shine. Keep one part of the cloth dry. I never spray my devices directly with any cleaning solution, as I don’t want it to leak somewhere it shouldn’t. Plus, it’s usually recommended not to spray screens directly.

  3. Turn off your device’s screen and gently wipe it from top to bottom. Then, use a dry part of the cloth to go over it again.

  4. Respray the microfiber cloth with Whoosh’s Screen Shine and then wipe the rest of the device clean.

If you want to clean OLED monitors and TVs, which are more delicate than LCDs, you should only spray the cloth once with Whoosh, be very gentle, and apply minimal pressure to ensure you don’t damage the screen. I use it on my Alienware QD-OLED and have had no issues.

If you follow all the steps above, your device will end up looking spotless. I’ve been using the same process for four years now, and I’ve had no issues using Whoosh on any of my devices. If you decide to try Whoosh, I suggest picking up a pack of itssmaller microfiber clothsas well. I find these perfect for quickly wiping down my phone or eyeglasses during the day, and it’s handy to have a couple of extra clothes lying around the house. I always keep two at my desk, one in my living room, one in my car, and one in my coat pocket.

I found the easiest way to clean USB ports

It’s easy for dust and lint to build up in your device’s USB port, but luckily, it just as easy to clean it.
