Leveling up inDragon Quest III HD-2D Remakeisn’t easy. Even at the end of the game, it takes quite a bit of time to get through some of the higher-EXP-rich enemies. That’s on top of the class system, completely resetting a character to level one if you want to change, so figuring out a good way to grind is important.

Using Your Feet
One method of leveling up takes a little bit of time, but it adds up as you continue to adventure through the world. TheElevating Shoescan be found in the later parts of the story, but what it does is that whoever equips the shoes will gain EXP for every step they take.
That means whenever you’re adventuring through a town or a dungeon, they’ll passively be earning experience points. The only problem is that the amount of EXP you earn is small. While a standard battle takes around two minutes and will give anywhere between a few hundred and upwards of two-thousand EXP when you find unique Slimes, these shoes will take much longer to earn that much. The benefit isn’t using it exclusively, but alongside the battles.
Finding Elevating Shoes
When you gain access toRamia, the legendary bird, you’ll gain the ability to fly anywhere in the world. This allows you access to areas that weren’t readily available, such as elevated terrain that has been taunting you throughout the campaign.
As soon as you obtain Ramia, head east. Your target is your home nation ofAliahan. We wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t go this west when heading to Promontory Passage to get the Thief Key because there’s nothing over here, at least at the beginning.
Instead, on the mountain terrain, there’s a hidden instance that can be entered. There will be a bird monster that can be recruited in the east of this area, but you’ll need to approach it from the north to avoid being seen.
Head all the way to the west of the map to find a treasure chest next to a rock. Opening this will reveal the Elevating Shoes. This is an accessory type of equipment that can be equipped on any character. Congratulations! You now have the ability to passively earn EXP with every step.
