Xbox Looks to Be Teasing Major Announcements for The Game Awards 2023
The last time Xbox was at The Game Awards was back in 2021, when it gave a major trailer for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. The sequel was first revealedback in 2019. There’s also the upcoming Action-RPGAvowed, theFableremake, Everwild, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2, and State of Decay 3. The last we saw of Fable was the trailer revealed during theXbox Game Showcase in June. Maybe we’ll get an update on the game’s scope. Although the trailer didn’t reveal any actual gameplay yet. We have also yet to see more ofThe Outer Worlds 2which was announced in 2021, which called itself out for showing no gameplay in a comical debut.
Avowed also got a release window for 2024 in June, and has already had an extended look at the game. They could reveal another trailer and a more narrowed-down release window. Obsidian did release some new detailsduring their 20 year anniversaryand promised it will remain very much an “Obsidian game”.

Some of the games that Xbox owns and/or published arenominatedfor the 2023 Game Awards, such as Hi-Fi Rush, Starfield, Forza Motorsport, andDiablo IV. We already know that Baldur’s Gate 3 studio Larian is planning to reveal therelease date at TGAfor the game on Xbox Series, which is expected to be sometime in December.
